Tina Balmer's many passionate followers will be delighted that the next exhibition filling Gallery 68 will be her first solo show in over three years.

She has gathered together a truly spectacular collection of work for

As the title of the exhibition suggests, there is brand new work, as well as some absolutely charming pieces from long ago, under the collective title of Memories. The new work includes some of her large canvases which manage to be heroic in scale at the same time as being intimate in atmosphere. These  pieces show her mastery of large scale composition, while her brilliant, fresh use of paint invites the viewer in to enjoy every inch of the surface.  All is treated with equal seriousness and equal joy, whether it be a passage of paint describing a large luscious expanse of tablecloth or the background to the objects that dance over the surfaces, or the marks she makes to bring so beautifully to life a cup, a bowl, a flower.
